I read Dan Dowell's first novel The Chatroom and really liked it so when i saw he had a second novel out I was excited. Sometimes the Bear Gets You was riveting and at times scary especially when thinking about being on an Island with Grizzly Bears and no way to get off. I loved it and couldn't figure it out until the end. Mr. Dowell is really good at keeping you guessing as to what comes next and making you want to read his books.Product details

A very good book. Starts a bit slow but makes up for it and then some. Very hard to put down.
This book kept me guessing to the very end. Twists, deceit, betrayal.. Intriguing on every page, but I couldn't quite put it all together until the end. I like that the surprise remained and the ending was not predictable or cliche. My only complaint was that it seemed to wrap up a little too quickly, which made it appear a bit too easy. Without giving away any endings, I would have liked to see the ending written out more, as opposed to a step-by-step closure. That said, however, the story itself was very creative and incredibly intense, and I would definitely recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys a mystery that makes the wheels turn.
